Mother Clare Watts is the co-director of a mystical Christian school and Order called the Order of Christ/Sophia. She is an ordained Master Teacher and Priest, holding a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with post-graduate training in Jungian Analysis, and is a Certified Professional Midwife. She lives in Seattle.

She is the author of Giving Birth To God: A Woman's Path To Enlightenment.





About The Order of Christ/Sophia

The Order of Christ/Sophia is a non-denominational Order of women and men who strive to live by the Mystical Christian teachings. We currently have seven Order Centers around the country, one each in Boston, Dallas, Denver, Milwaukee, New Haven, Seattle and Oakland. We offer classes in Christian Mysticism, in prayer, meditation, and the great Wisdom Teachings of all times.

Mystics of all times have known that light, meditation and prayer can heal body, mind, heart and soul. The way of the mystic offers the dedicated student a means to come into the direct experience of God, Who resides at the center of each human. With simple exercises and practices each person can begin to use the mystical experience to change their lives.

In addition to the teachings, we also offer a full devotional practice based on the Inner Christian Path. Our Priests and Teachers perform all seven Sacraments to bring the grace of heaven into earth. Each Center holds daily Communion Services, evening prayers, and Sunday Services.
